The gentleman who gave me a ride in the fall has his team dressed up for Christmas. He and 3 of his friends form a parade of wagons every year. It's fun to watch.

We spent my birthday weekend visiting Cindy and Susan. Cindy's office is above this bakery, Bread & Chocolate, If I worked here, I'd be at this bakery every day! I think the architecture is interesting.

We got a drive-by tour of Washington, something we appreciated since we hadn't been downtown for many years. This is the new World War II Memorial.

Probably not necessary to identify, but this is the Washington Monument. Before 911 one could walk to the top of it. When I was a teenager and relatives came to visit, I once climbed to the top three times in one week!

The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC is in the foreground. The Watergate Apartments (and the famous break-in) is in the background.

Arlington Memorial Bridge in DC that crosses the Potomac River and takes one to Arlington National Cemetery. It's often seen on TV during State Funerals.

This is the Pentagon, though not a very good picture of it. All of these pictures are "drive by" pictures.

The Air Force Memorial is in honor of the Air Force and stands near the Pentagon.

Susan works on a TV Talk Show called the Inside Scoop, and we were fortunate to get to watch.

They occasionally do cooking shows there. What we thought was interesting is that the back part of the kitchen is set about a foot higher than the front counter so that it is visible to the audience.

What is seen on television and what the scene (pun intended!) really looks like are two different things. It was really interesting to be on the set.

Turns out one of the men being interviewed is the husband of a cousin of mine whom I haven't seen since I was in high school!

Blackie and our little Motorhome at Bull Run Campground. This is where we stay when we visit the girls. It's only about 10 minutes from their house.

Jerry is cleaning the snow off the driveway. On the right of the driveway is Blackie. Wherever Jerry and the tractor are, Blackie is close behind.

Here comes Barbara!

These girls were desperate for snow but had a few good runs. This is Chelsea.

And this is Anna. Blackie loves them, and so do I. They call me Aunt Barbara, so I have family here!!

Our friends Barbara and Bob renewed their wedding vows at the church.

They had planned to go to Hawaii, but since Bob had a stroke, they decorated the church fellowship hall with a Hawaiian theme.
