This tractor hauled in a mobile home. When they got on Carver Crabtree Rd (our street) the workers held hands and said a prayer that all would go well. It turned out to be a long day and that prayer would be necessary.

This is the driver of this tractor--women get treated equally in this business! They had two tractors, the mobile home and a bull dozer.

They completely take off the axel of the mobil home and replace it with one that has tires that can turn 90 degrees by remote control.

To get to the top of the hill they had to cut through the horse pasture. It took all afternoon and at times it got pretty nerve wracking.

It's a tight squeeze now. They're at the top of the hill, trying to get onto their lot. Check out the view behind!

Now this is a problem! It took a bit to figure this one out, but they eventually got it turned onto the blocks you see in the foreground. Mark, the son, lives in the house that you see partially in the background. He's added the second story on the house for his family and it isn't finished yet. And he bought the mobile home for his mother and step-father.

This is a remote-controlled House Kat that is pushing the back of the mobile home. The owner of the company told me it saved him a lot on liability insurance because people didn't have to get too close. This is what they used to pull the trailer throught the horse pasture and up the hill to it's resting place.

It's up where it's supposed to be. They still had a lot to do to take off the temporary axle and replace the original axel, but we left at this point.

"I'll take it!" This bluebird and his wife took a few days before deciding this was to be their new home.

The Smith's have donkeys, but they're up for sale. In fact, they've sold one already. One is pregnant, though, so there will be a baby in the near future. Yeah! Another baby animal!

The hummingbirds are back!

This plant is called Foxy Foxglove.

Boots, the baby lamb, is one day old here. I've named the mother Taffy after a cat we had that used to eat lying down. This sheep likes to do the same thing. I have to name all the animals!

This plant is called Salvia. There is a bumblebee on the top left.

Disc Golf is really cool! The chains stop the frisbee from sailing on through the cup. It's great fun.

This is an overall picture of the frisbee golf course. A friend of ours had this course made in Roan Mountain. It's beautiful.

This is Boots (the baby) at 3 days.

This mom I've named Bobbi because her ear ID tag is number 12 and NASCAR racer Bobby Allison used to drive car 12! (He was my favorite driver!) Her baby (boy) is about 2 weeks old here and I've named hime Snow as in "Mary had a little lamb his fleece was white as SNOW!" Aren't I original? And a bit nuts?

The grass is always greener! The little ones get away with this. The grown goats sometimes get their horns stuck and we have to unstick them. They never learn!

Little Bear sits at the living room door watching the birds. The rusty funnel-like thing in the background is an antique washing machine handed down from my mother and her mother.

I think the proper name for this is Natural Azalea but I could be wrong about that. The flowers look like honeysuckle flowers. We inherited it with the house.

I don't know what this; I'm wondering if they're bluebells. Such a contrast from the rock and clay.

Sammy is a four month old pup that lives up the road. He's so friendly and just adorable and has huge feet! He comes to the house to play with Blackie.

This is what "our" mountains look like from the very top of our road. Our house is out of the picture on the far right.

Oreo and Calico are interesting to watch. They spent several weeks in the barn with a mom who had infected feet so they weren't integrated with the others. Now that they live outdoors they still stick together and stay away from the others.

"See how big I'm getting!" Here Snow is about 3 1/2 weeks old.

Snow at 3 1/2 weeks, Boots at 2 weeks. I think it's funny how Boots doesn't fill out his skin.

Isn't she adorable? She's so photogenic!

Creole is a very affectionate (and large!) horse.

I had a couple pictures of Debbie's barn up a month or so ago. They were taken from the other side.

Blackie is such a handsome dog!

The rhododendrens were in full bloom this year. Some years they don't bloom very well.

This is my tomato garden this year. No pulling weeds for me!

Carter Fold has live country and bluegrass music every Saturday night. In yellow, pink and coral is Nancy Hopson, Sue Little and Kathy Humphey, from our church. A large group of us went up and we had a great time.

Calico & Oreo found a way to get into our yard and are eating the weed and buttercups in the garden. I loved it! Unfortunately, Josh didn't and he fixed the fence so they can't come to visit anymore.

This bluebird is building a nest as you can tell by the mouthfull of building materials. It's not the best quality picture because I've taken the picture through the screen.

Wish I could see the side of this bird, it almost looks like a woodpecker, but I can't be certain. At any rate, it's awfully cute.

I just love bluebirds, maybe because my favorite color is blue. This is untouched, by the way.
