I took this from the hammock too, but I was sitting on the edge of it, looking west, where the horses live.

The roof of the house is our nearest neighbor to the south. We also have a mountain view to the south.

Blackie and I (Barbara) were out in the street watching the horses. Well, I was watching the horses, he was watching the dogs up the hill. The barn belongs to Debbie and Tim, who live behind the trees straight ahead. The view is south. Our driveway is just to the left.

This is the valley we look over from our front yard. We love the view when the clouds are on the mountains.

I love this picture. Jerry turned onto a side street so I could get a picture of trees beside Gap Creek Rd. We often take this route home from Johnson City.

This is Blackie with a big smile on his face. He loves to go for a ride and takes his back seat driving duties very seriously.

We finally finished our bedroom and got rid of the drippy red paint. Turned out the first gallon of red paint was defective.

I am making dog booties for Iditarod dogs. A finished bootie is at the bottom of the picture. It was a nice day so I took my sewing machine to the screened porch. Blackie's outdoor bed is behind me, on the right.

Our church had a yard sale last spring and the money made from it was used to buy coats, shoes and socks for needy children in our area. It was a lot of fun buying them, and gave us a good feeling too.

Dooley is in my arms and Chubby on the ground. Dooley belongs to Martha, a dear friend of ours and Chubby belongs to a neighbor of hers.

This is at the Vet's office. That's Jerry and Blackie on the right. Blackie thinks the Vet's office is Play School. He recognizes where we are about 1/2 mile away.

Veteran's Day celebration in Elizabethton.

There were about 10 Rolling Thunder cycles.

We even had a 21 gun salute. Also, Elizabethton has a Veteran's Memoral and they're building a brick sidewalk with veteran's names and branch of service engraved on each brick. Jerry's name will be one of them.

I had the opportunity to drive this, but when Ken told me how many gears it had, I opted to ride instead!

Next was Tyler's turn. I can't believe he let me go first. What a gentlemen he is; and such a cute little boy.

Blackie enjoyed walking around the farm, too.

This is Lady, Ken and Vicki's dog. Unfortunately, she was too busy defending her collection of rocks to become fast friends with Blackie. It was pretty funny to watch.

This is Ken and Vicki's new house. What a beautiful place. We love their house.

We did lots of eating!

Little Bear turned out to be a good traveler, too.

And she's pretty good at home, too!
