I thought this was a picturesque barn, complete with split rail fence. This was taken on another church outing.

Mast General Store |

This is a General Store in NC, that has just about everything! It looks more like a house than a store.

Quilt Group |

This quilt is on hold while we get some craft items together for the Fall Harvest Sale for our church. The sale provides income for the United Methodist Women. The pink quilt (top) is one I bought at an auction in Missouri several years ago and donated to our group. We can auction it next year as a fund raiser.

| Defective Paint |
10/20/2005

This is what defective paint looks like! It looks like something out of a Halloween horror movie. I took the paint and rolled it into a ball the size of a tennis ball and tossed it to the salesman at Lowes. His comment? "I knew I should have gotten off at 1:00!" He knew we were comming and that we had a problem, but never expected this! He gave us a gallon of their best paint and we finally got the wall done.

Peeling Apples |
10/21/2005
9:37:19 AM
It took us all day Friday to peel and precook the 36 bushels of apples. If we hadn't pre-cooked them some, it would have taken too long on Saturday for the apples to cook in the kettles.

The Canning Line |
10/22/2005
2:10:45 PM
When the apple butter is done the canning is done at a frantic pace. We ran out of lids and our Pastor, Paul, made a run to the grocery store. Then we ran out of rings, and he had to make another run to the store. I don't think we'll let that happen next year!
