Little Bear is lying on 3 layers of pillows--I hope she's comfortable!

The waterfall is frozen, but the fountain still going strong.

The fountain is still flowing, but the water froze before it could get back to the pond, creating a crater. Eventually, we had to turn the pump off because there was no more water in the pond!

The full moon and power lines create sort of an abstract painting.

This picture was taken from the car heading north on I81. The sun is on the right, but in the center of the picture is an orange stripe with what looks like a smaller sun on it. The sky stayed like this for 30 minutes or more.

We spent the weekend visiting friends in Norfolk, VA and stayed at this cabin on Ft. Story in Virginia Beach. Unfortunately, Saturday morning found us with a dead battery. That's Blackie in the foreground.

St. Theresa's Chapel. It looks very old, but we couldn't find a date anywhere. Unfortunately, the door was locked. Would liked to have seen the inside.

Ft. Story is at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay, where is empties into the Atlantic ocean. This picture is of the bay.

This is the original lighthouse. I'm sort of guessing on the history here; we couldn't find any signs.

This is the loft of our cabin. Fortunately, the main bedrooms were downstairs, so we didn't have to climb those stairs every night!

It even had a log couch!

Beyond these trees are the Blue Ridge Mountains. There was no place to get a clear shot of the mountains.
